Top T-Shirt Shops in California

California is known for a lot of things. They have Hollywood. They have excessive heat. They have Disneyland and its magically delicious churros. They have irritating commercials that star a governor that once played the role of “Muscleman” in a movie called “The San Pedro Beach Bums.” Californians also wear t-shirts all the time, and all the cool people flock to these t-shirt hot spots with tee designs that are too cool for school.

D-Structure (San Francisco)

D-Structure is a combination shirt store/art gallery located in the Lower Haight neighborhood. With
designs ranging from an undead Donald Duck to a psychedelic pink tree, D-Structure tries to create an art community with both their designs and products, often hosting events for men and women in their mid-twenties/early thirties who want to socialize with like-minded new age art lovers and/or flirt with girls who dig t-shirts.

Armory Hip Hop Shop (San Diego)

Although they still don’t seem to sell any chain mail or Viking helmets, the Armory Hip Hop Shop in San Diego is one of the only SD stores with unique hip hop inspired clothing for the urban gangsta inside you. Their t-shirts have the standard graffiti style that is popular in the industry, but they also have an artistic flavor that makes their designs more unique than any random urban clothing store you find in some mall.

Johnny Cupcakes (Los Angeles)

There are two things in life that are truly important. Obviously the first is t-shirts. All empirical studies suggest that the meaning of life is the creation and/or purchase of amazing shirt designs. Ask any religion and they’ll tell you the same thing. But a close second, of course, is cupcakes and all their overpriced goodness. So any place that manages to sell both cupcakes and awesome t-shirts has to be one of the best spots for t-shirts in the state, quite possibly the world. That is why if you’re in Los Angeles, you should stop by Johnny Cupcakes – a 24 hour cupcake/shirt store with colorful pop culture designs including, but not limited to, a cupcake skull and crossbones. The perfect shirt to be buried in? Quite possibly yes.

How To Pack Your T-Shirt

Amajor factor in the t-shirt selling business is presentation. Presentation of your designs, presentation of your website or storefront, presentation of your promotional images etcetera, etcetera, etcetera! To make the sale and keep ‘em comin’, you really gotta get this presentation thing down and impress the hell outta your customers and potential buyers. That being said, impressive presentation of your t-shirts upon delivery is something to consider. Here’s why.

Standing out amongst the competition and going above and beyond are essential components to an effective marketing strategy.
When you take a look at some of your favorite brands, t-shirt brands and non t-shirt brands alike, it is highly likely that at one point or another, creative packaging was used. Not many other online t-shirt shops are using custom t-shirt packaging when shipping orders, so your shop can stand out by being one of the few.

Cool t-shirt packaging is sure to make a lasting impression on your customers, and have them market your brand themselves through word of mouth, online and in person.

According to a poll conducted on a popular t-shirt forum, most people just use the generic plastic bags or whatever mailer their product will fit in. It’s no surprise that barely anybody uses unusual packaging or customization to set their product apart. It’s simply overlooked.

Examples of great packaging are
Linty Fresh, Johnny Cupcakes and 410 BC. On one instance, Johnny Cupcakes t-shirts came packaged in cake mix boxes that were designed to match each t-shirt that came in it, something that fits the theme of his company. Be creative when coming up with packaging for your t-shirts.
Let’s take a look at the most basic t-shirt packaging options available to you in case you’re totally at a lost for ideas.

The Basics:
-Plastic Mailers
-Tyvek Mailers
-Corrugated Boxes
-Any mailer the product will fit in

In the beginning you might have no choice but to opt for the most basic, least expensive t-shirt packaging options. This is fully understandable, as not every start-up t-shirt business has hundreds and thousands of dollars at their disposal. But you should at least have plans to improve your t-shirt packaging, along with the rest of your branding, as your budget increases.

Now let’s get creative. Here are some t-shirt packaging ideas that you may find useful.
-Colored or metallic poly mailer
-Poly mailer with printed design or a logo sticker on it
-Corrugated box mailer with printed design or a logo sticker on it
-Wooden box printed or engraved with your logo
-Plastic box or mailing tube with logo sticker
-Tin can or other custom shape

Look around at your competition, and favorite brands to see what their t-shirt packaging is like so you can keep up with them. In addition to the exterior packaging, don’t forget the interior items such as hang tags, free stickers, posters, postcards and other freebies. Keep in mind that presentation does a whole lot for selling to your customers. It’s fun and cool, and your shop could definitely use the individuality a unique package gives. Remember, impressive t-shirt packaging can go a long way!

What Is The Best Material For Your T-Shirts

T-shirt Material we use!!!
100% Cotton, it feels good, last long and great for any weather.

If you would like to know more about the different type of materials, continue reading.

When you get T-shirt / Polo Shirt, you will notice that some of them feel difference. not only the feel but also the quality that determined whether the shirt last or even makes you feel good wearing them.

Sometimes we invest in Shirts not only for the design but also for the comfort we get. understanding that we are in a social that understands comfort and value for money.

so I did some research to find out more about the different types of shirt out there.
The difference:

1) Fully Combed 100% Cotton.
2) Cotton - DRI
3) Microfiber Eyelet
4) TC Pique / Lacoste

Fully Combed 100% Cotton

The best you can get for Polo / Golf T-shirt.
This material is super soft and comfortable. You can just feel the cooling properties when you place your hand over it. It has the same weight as the other Polo material, yet it feels light. This is the material to choose if you want to impress people with its classy and premium look. Best for indoor and outdoor because it good at absorbing sweat. The great thing about this shirt is it also has no stray fibbers after multiple washes, this means it looks good after you wash it over and over and over .. you get the idea.
One downfall is that price, this shirt is normally a premium and may shrink by 7%. So take note when you get this type of shirts.

Cotton – DRI

Cotton-DRI is our answer to comfortable, sweat absorbing, shiny-looking, microfiber T-shirts. It's a dual layered fabric with a layer of cotton underneath and polyester on top. Cotton has the best water absorbing properties as well as prevents the fabric from sticking to your body. The result is a dryer, more comfortable, experience. This means good absorption of sweat, and does not stick to the body.
The big problem is only the price... just the shirt of this type will cost the same as a premium shirt with designs and label.

Microfiber Eyelet

Microfiber fabric is most commonly mistaken as dry fit or ClimaCool. They look and feel the same BUT it’s not the same!! This Microfiber does not absorb sweat like cotton / dry fit / ClimaCool. Yet this material good points are that they give a premium look but it’s the worst material for comfort (my point of view). This type of materials are made of 100% polyester and because it does not absorb sweat and it makes us feel hot and stuffy. The biggest problem I face with this material is after a few washes, it will start to smell bad. I use to think that it’s my fault, but now I know it’s the material. But the good point are its cheap and good for POLO-T.

TC Pique / Lacoste

This is a popular material use for Polo T shirts, it’s cheap, low maintenance, crumples and shrink resistant. It’s a mix of 70% polyester and 30% cotton, and as you can guess that it’s for indoor use. The material will not have good sweat absorption, and it will be hot. The most outstanding thing about it will be that the material will be coarse
